III. Processing of personal data
In the following, I would like to give you an overview of how the protection of your personal data is ensured when accessing this website and what types of personal data are processed for what purposes and to what extent.
1. Processing of data when accessing this website – log files
When accessing this website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar information. In addition, your IP address is transmitted and utilised in order to access the service you have requested. This information is necessary for technical purposes in order to correctly deliver the contents of the websites requested by you and is required for use of the Internet.
This log file data is anonymised or deleted immediately after the end of use. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.
2. Processing of data when using the website - your inquiries
If you send me an inquiry by e-mail, we will collect the data you provide for the purpose of processing and responding to your request. We will store this information for a period of up to 2 years for verification purposes. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.
3. E-mail newsletter subscription
We use a so-called double-opt-in procedure for newsletter registration. This means that after you have provided your e-mail address, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided, in which we will ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm this within 6 hours, your registration will be deleted automatically. Provided you have confirmed your wish to receive the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe. The storage of your e-mail address serves the purpose of being able to send you the newsletter. Furthermore, we save the time of your registration in order to prevent misuse of your personal data, and so that we can provide proof of correct sending. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR.
The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is the e-mail address. You have the right to revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. Your revocation will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data until revocation has taken place. You can submit your revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail, or by sending a message to the contact details provided on the website.

IV. Our Cookie Policy
1. General information on the use of cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and saved by your browser. Their purpose is to make our offers more user-friendly, effective and secure. We use both so-called temporary cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser ("session cookies"), and persistent (permanent) cookies.
You have the choice whether you want to allow cookies to be set. You can make changes in your browser settings. In principle, you have the choice of accepting all cookies, being informed when cookies are set or rejecting all cookies. If you choose the latter option, it is possible that you will not be able to fully use our offer. You can also make individual settings via our cookie settings.
When cookies are used, a distinction must be made between those that are technically necessary and those that are used for more extensive purposes (measuring access figures, advertising purposes).
2. Technically necessary cookies when using the website
We use session cookies on our websites that are absolutely necessary for the use of our websites. These include cookies that enable us to recognize you while you are visiting the site as part of a single session. These session cookies contribute to the secure use of our offer.
3. Use of cookies with your consent
The following is an overview of the cookies that we use with the consent you gave at the beginning of your use of the website. You will also find an opt-out option with each statement of use.
a. Use of cookies to record user behaviour (tracking)
The use of tracking cookies enables us to recognise users when they access our website again and thus to assign usage processes to an internally assigned identification number (pseudonym). This allows us to record repeated visits to our website and to analyse them in a coherent manner.
Specifically, the following tracking cookies are used:
etracker
On this website, we use the web analytics service provided by etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstr. 1, 20459 Hamburg, a service provider contracted by us. This means that your IP address is shortened and anonymized. On our behalf, our service provider will collect information about your last visits to our website, or how you move within our website, and will use this information to analyse your use of the website to create reports about the website activities.
We use the web analytics service to analyse the use of our website to get a better understanding of how visitors use our website, so that we can make it even more intuitive and responsive to your interests.
